Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 22, 2026

Applies to: Sublyse mobile application, website, and related services

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using Sublyse. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, and protected when you use the Service. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Sublyse ("Sublyse," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Sublyse mobile application, website, and related services, collectively referred to as the "Service."

Sublyse is currently operated as an independent project. For purposes of this Privacy Policy, "Sublyse," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the person or team operating the Service.

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Service.

For privacy-related questions or requests, you can contact us at sublyse@proton.me.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect or process the following categories of information:

We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Payment information is processed by the relevant app store or payment provider, such as Apple App Store.

3. App Data Storage

Sublyse currently stores app data locally on your device and may synchronize it through Apple's CloudKit. Data synchronized through CloudKit is associated with your Apple ID and is not stored on Sublyse-operated servers.

Deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device but does not automatically delete data stored in iCloud through CloudKit.

If you contact us for support, any information you send to us by email or another support channel may be retained as described in this Privacy Policy.

4. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

5. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region with similar legal requirements, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

6. SDKs and Tracking Technologies

We and our service providers may use software development kits (SDKs), local storage, mobile identifiers, and similar technologies to operate the Service, remember preferences, measure performance, analyze usage, and detect errors.

Currently, the Service uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and diagnostics that help us identify, investigate, and fix application errors. Firebase Crashlytics may process information such as device information, operating system version, app version, crash logs, and diagnostic data. Firebase services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's applicable privacy policies.

You may be able to control certain tracking through your device settings, browser settings, app permissions, or advertising preferences.

7. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription, in-app purchase, or paid feature through Apple App Store, your payment is processed by Apple, not directly by Sublyse.

We may receive limited transaction-related information, such as product purchased, purchase status, subscription status, renewal or cancellation status, purchase validation data, and related billing metadata. We use this information to provide paid features, verify purchases, manage access, prevent fraud, and comply with legal or accounting obligations where applicable.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details.

8. How We Share Information

We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

We do not sell personal information for money. If we introduce advertising or marketing technologies in the future, some activities may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. Where required, we will provide notice, request consent, or offer the ability to opt out.

9. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Service, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, protecting security, and maintaining business records.

App data that is stored locally on your device remains on your device until you delete it, remove the application, or otherwise clear the data manually.

Data synchronized through Apple's CloudKit is retained according to Apple's systems and policies and remains associated with your Apple ID unless removed through Apple's services or device settings.

Support communications, customer service requests, and related correspondence may be retained for a reasonable period to help us respond to future requests, improve support quality, comply with legal obligations, and protect against fraud or abuse.

Crash reports, diagnostics and similar operational information may be retained for service improvement, security, and business continuity purposes.

10. CloudKit

Sublyse currently uses Apple's CloudKit to synchronize certain application data between devices.

Information synchronized through CloudKit is associated with your Apple ID and is processed and stored by Apple according to Apple's privacy policies, security practices, and applicable terms of use.

Sublyse does not operate CloudKit infrastructure and does not control how Apple stores, processes, secures, transfers, or manages information within CloudKit.

Your use of CloudKit functionality is also subject to Apple's applicable agreements, privacy policies, and iCloud terms.

If you disable iCloud or CloudKit synchronization, some synchronization features of the Service may become unavailable or may operate differently.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction and applicable law, you may have certain privacy rights regarding your information.

These rights may include:

Because much of Sublyse data is stored locally on your device or within your personal iCloud account through CloudKit, some requests may require action directly through your device settings or through Apple account management tools.

To exercise rights related to information controlled by Sublyse, you may contact us using the contact information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.

12. Account and Data Deletion

Sublyse allows you to permanently delete your account directly from within the application.

When you request account deletion, your account and associated application data are permanently removed from your device.

If iCloud synchronization through Apple's CloudKit is enabled, the deletion is synchronized through CloudKit and the corresponding data is removed from your other devices connected to the same iCloud account.

Please note that certain information may be retained where required to comply with applicable laws, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce our legal rights, or fulfill other legitimate legal obligations.

If you have previously contacted our support team, you may also request deletion of information you provided to us by contacting us using the email address listed at the end of this Privacy Policy.

13. International Data Transfers

Depending on your location, information related to the Service may be processed, transferred, or stored in countries outside your country of residence.

These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we will take appropriate measures to ensure that international transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards, contractual protections, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

Third-party providers such as Apple, Google (including Firebase Crashlytics), infrastructure providers, and payment processors may process information in multiple countries according to their own privacy policies and operational practices.

14. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, destruction, misuse, and accidental loss.

However, no security measure, software application, cloud service, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security.

Accordingly, we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed despite our efforts.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your devices, operating systems, account credentials, Apple ID credentials, and other authentication mechanisms used in connection with the Service.

15. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law to provide consent for the processing of personal information in their jurisdiction.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the Service in violation of applicable law, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action where necessary.

If we become aware that personal information has been collected from a child in circumstances where consent was required but not obtained, we may take steps to delete the information and comply with applicable legal requirements.

16. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites, applications, products, services, or external resources that are not operated, owned, or controlled by Sublyse.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices, security measures, content, policies, or activities of third-party services.

Your interactions with third-party services are governed by the privacy policies, terms of service, and practices of those third parties.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies and terms of any third-party service before providing information or using those services.

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update, modify, or revise this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, business operations, technologies, or the features of the Service.

When we make changes, we may update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this Privacy Policy and may provide additional notice where required by law.

Continued use of the Service after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to remain informed about how information is handled.
